ROC-NY: End Capital Greed
Where: Capital Grille, 155 E. 42nd St., NYC
Take action with the Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York (ROC-NY) as workers continue their struggle for racial and economic justice at The Capital Grille.
For over a year, workers at The Capital Grille have been organizing to change conditions in their workplace, alleging racial discrimination and wage theft, in addition to experiencing other exploitative conditions. Meanwhile, parent company, Darden Restaurants (which also owns Red Lobster and Olive Garden) pulled in over $700 million in profits just last year!
The workers have had enough, and they are telling Darden that it’s time to decide. Will it continue its greedy ways, like making their employees choose between working with the flu or not getting paid? Will immigrants and people of color continue to get the short end of the stick? Or will it shift course to take the high road and provide dignified work for all of its workers?
Capital Grille workers in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and the DC area are calling for Darden Restaurants to sit down with them and the Restaurant Opportunities Center to find a real, meaningful solution to this dispute. Workers want nothing less than racial and economic justice!
Join ROC-NY to show Darden that Capital Grille we will not rest until justice is had!
