Justice for Jazz Artists — March
Where: Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, 10 Columbus Circle #5, New York, NY
Though an important part of NYC’s cultural heritage, even highly successful jazz musicians live precariously, often growing old in poverty.
NYC’s Birdland, Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, the Iridium, the Jazz Standard and the Village Vanguard refuse to sign a collective bargaining agreement or pay into a pension fund that would help these artists to retire with dignity.
We’ll meet at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola and march to the Iridium—musicians’ voices must be heard.
See the Justice for Jazz Artists website for more information on the campaign.
