Day of Action to Save the People’s Post Office (NEW START LOCATION)
Where: 234 E. 149th St., Bronx, NY, 234 E. 149th St., Bronx, NY
We need to stand up to save the Bronx General Post Office. Bring your friends, families and neighbors.
We cannot sit idly by while Postmaster Patrick R. Donahoe, the Postal Board of Governors, the Postal Regulatory Commission and their co-conspirators in Congress destroy the Post Office that hundreds of millions of Americans have depended upon since 1775. The destruction of the Post Office will have a devastating impact on the people who depend upon it the most: the elderly, the disabled, veterans, the poor and small business owners.
The action starts with an “Emergency Meeting to Save the Post Office” at 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Hospital Auditorium, 234 East 149th Street. Then at 12:30 there will be a march to the Bronx General Post Office (at 558 Grand Concourse) for a community speak out.
