CWA – Bring Back the Cablevision 22!
Where: Cablevision Garage Brooklyn, 9502 Avenue D, Brooklyn NY
On January 30th, Cablevision unconscionably and illegally locked out and fired 22 CWA workplace activists at Brooklyn Cablevision who were seeking to have a brief meeting with management about their grievances.
On January 31st, about 100 supporters marched with the Cablevision 22 to demand they be rehired. Cablevision managers hid and refused to speak with workers or city officials.
These workers have been struggling for a year to win a first contract after overwhelmingly voting for CWA in January 2012.
This is a blatantly anti-union act and is an attack against union workers across the city.
It cannot be allowed to stand!
